Created in 1876 by baseball legend Albert Groodwill Spalding, a former Boston Red Stocking player (now the Atlanta Braves) Spalding begins by providing the first major league baseball.

Today Spalding manufactures many sports products but is mainly specialized in the manufacture of balloons. The brand from Chicago owes its success to its historic partnership with the NBA (National Basketball Association) for which it makes balloons, baskets and training equipment since 1983.
